How do I set up AI features?
Drydown Pro includes Drydown AI — it works out of the box with no setup, no API keys, and no configuration needed. Just subscribe to Pro and all AI features (scanning, recommendations, layering, Scent DNA) are ready to go. Power users can optionally bring their own API keys for Google Gemini or OpenAI via Profile > AI Settings. Keys are stored securely in your device's hardware-backed Keychain.
Is my data synced across devices?
Yes. On iOS, enable iCloud to sync across your Apple devices via your private iCloud container. On Android, use Profile > Backup to back up your collection to Google Drive. In both cases, only you can access this data — we never see it. You can disable sync in your device settings.
How do I cancel Drydown Pro?
On iOS: Open Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions, find Drydown, and tap Cancel. On Android: Open Google Play Store > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Drydown > Cancel. Pro features remain active until the end of your current billing period.
Can I import my existing fragrance collection?
Yes. Drydown supports importing collections from CSV and JSON files. Go to Profile > Import/Export > Import to get started. Your CSV file should include columns for brand, name, and any other details you want to import. A template is available in the import screen.
How does the AI bottle scanner work?
Point your camera at any fragrance bottle and the AI will identify the brand, fragrance name, notes, and concentration. This works best with clear labels and good lighting. The scan uses your configured AI provider (Gemini or OpenAI) — the image is sent to their servers for processing and is not stored. You can also select existing photos from your library.
What does "Bring Your Own Key" mean?
Most users never need this — Drydown Pro includes Drydown AI built in, which handles all AI features automatically. BYOK is an advanced option for power users who prefer to connect directly to AI providers using their own API keys. Benefits include: (1) full control over your usage and costs, (2) direct connection with no middleman, and (3) the AI features work even if our managed service is unavailable. Your keys are stored in your device's secure credential storage and never leave your device.
How do I export my collection?
Go to Profile > Import/Export > Export. You can export your entire collection as CSV (compatible with spreadsheets) or JSON (full data backup). Export includes fragrance details, wear history, and notes. This feature requires Drydown Pro.
Can I snooze fragrance recommendations?
Yes. In Wear Momentum, long-press any recommendation card or swipe left on alternatives to snooze a fragrance for 30 days. Snoozed fragrances won't appear in recommendations until the snooze expires. You can view and manage all snoozed fragrances from the moon icon in the Wear Momentum header.
How do smart notifications work?
Drydown sends optional reminders for forgotten fragrances, streak maintenance, and daily wear logging. The daily wear reminder is smart — it automatically cancels when you log a fragrance for today, whether from the app or a home screen widget. You can configure notifications in Profile > Notifications.
Can I get a refund?
On iOS: Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Drydown purchase, and select "Request a Refund." On Android: Open Google Play Store > Profile > Payments & subscriptions, find Drydown, and request a refund. Refund requests are typically processed within 48 hours.
Troubleshooting
AI features aren't working
If you're a Pro subscriber, Drydown AI should work automatically — try force-quitting and reopening the app. If you're using your own API key (BYOK), check that it's valid in Profile > AI Settings and that you have available credits with your provider. Ensure you're running the latest version of the app.
Sync issues
On iOS: Check that iCloud is enabled in Settings and that Drydown has iCloud access. On Android: Check that you're signed in to Google in Profile > Backup. On both platforms, try force-quitting and reopening the app. Large collections may take a few minutes to sync initially.
App crashes or freezes
Try force-quitting and reopening the app. If the issue persists, ensure you're running the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. If problems continue, please email us at [email protected] with your device model and iOS version.
